Thank you for your interest in becoming a sponsor for the Richmond Perrine Optimist Club…  

The Richmond Perrine Optimist Club was granted its Charter through Optimist International, Inc. in 1971.  Our organization offers athletic, academic and social services programs to youngsters and families throughout the South Miami-Dade area.  Over the past 50 years, more than 24,000 youngsters have received services through our programs, which have been a contributing factor to many successful careers.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of community-based service organizations, and ours is no exception.  The athletic teams that we sponsor are financed through the fund-raising efforts of our participants and volunteers, many who spend hundreds of hours maintaining our tradition of transforming youngsters into productive citizens.  In order to maintain our sports programs, we need help from our local citizens and community businesses such as you.  Your assistance in the form of a sponsorship or donation will greatly increase our ability to meet the needs of our Sports Programs. 

In 1986, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued us a 501 C- 3 rating, which insures our tax-exempt status.  Your donation will serve a dual purpose, it will help many struggling, hard-working youths in our community, and it is an excellent tax write-off.    

Please make all checks payable to: Richmond-Perrine Optimist Club.  Also, indicate any specific Sports Program and/or Team on each check if necessary.
